The Columbia County Fair is about to open! This end-of-summer fun, family event only comes once a year, and a little planning can help ensure you have the best Fair day ever.Buying your ticket online before you arrive will help you breeze through the admission gates. This year Fairgoers will notice signs directing them to a line strictly for those who hold e-tickets.

The Fair is a rain or shine event. Sunny skies are in the forecast for each day, but be sure to toss some rain gear and an umbrella in the car just in case. And you’ll be glad you brought an extra layer if you plan to enjoy the Fair after dark.

It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes a little one gets separated from the rest of the family. Tucking Mom or Dad’s cell number into Junior’s pocket and snapping a quick pic to show what they are wearing will help ensure a quick reunion. Choose a location for older children to meet up before you make your way through the gate. If your child is lost, head to the State Police station located next to the Fair Administration Building.

Be aware that all persons and property are subject to search. All bags will be searched upon entry. Weapons, including firearms and large knives, oversized backpacks, large coolers, alcoholic beverages not purchased onsite, illegal drugs, roller skates, and bicycles are among the items prohibited on the Fairgrounds. A full list may be found in the Code of Conduct on our website.

The smoking or vaping of any substance is prohibited on the grounds.

No pets are allowed on the Fairgrounds at any time.  Service dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for individuals with disabilities will be admitted.  ALL Service dogs must have proof of rabies vaccinations to enter the grounds.  Do not leave your pet in the car. Any animal left in a vehicle will be  turned over to the local authorities at the expense of the owner.
