The 183rd Columbia County Fair kicks off in less than a week! Be there for Opening Day on Wednesday, August 28 at noon and get a front row seat for the Talent Show. Sponsored by Kneller Insurance, “Columbia County’s Got Talent” begins at noon when Juniors age 12 and under hit the Northgate Entertainment Barn stage. Teens follow at 2:30PM, and adults at 5. Finals in all categories will be held at 7:00PM. Be there to cheer everyone on!

There will be action in the Show Ring as well with the 4H Rabbit/Cavy judging at 5:30PM and Open Poultry at the Poultry Barn. Circus Incredible returns for its first performance at 1pm. Fans of the Antique Tractor Pull should head to the Grandstand at 4:00PM to enjoy that Opening Day tradition.

Thursday is Sensory Day when from noon to 4pm, when lights and music on the Midway will be turned off.  And the Sensory Safe Place sponsored by the Cooperative Extension will be available each day adjacent to Columbia Hall.

Seniors Day and Youth Day is Wednesday with special pricing at $5.00 for ALL patrons.  Youth under 18 and active military with ID or in uniform are admitted free that day only.

Please note some important details which will make your day at the Fair most enjoyable. No pets are allowed on the Fairgrounds at any time.  Actual Service dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for individuals with disabilities will be admitted.  ALL Service dogs must have proof of rabies vaccinations to enter the grounds.  Please do not leave your pet in the car! Any pet left in a vehicle will be turned over to the local authorities at the expense of the owner.

The Fairgrounds are located off Route 66 in Chatham, New York. The Fair – “always runs over Labor Day”, and concludes on Monday, September 2. General Admission is $15 which includes parking and all entertainment. Children 12 and under are always free. Daily hours are Wednesday: noon to 11PM, Thursday – Monday: 10AM – 11PM.

Advance tickets are $13 per single day admission and are available online and at the Fair Administration Office until August 27. Advance tickets will also be available for purchase July 1- August 27 at all Bank of Greene County branch offices. There are no advance tickets for Wednesday, August 28.

Special Ride Passes are available at the ride ticket booths across from the cattle area near the North Gate Entrance for $25 per day.
