Circus Incredible is back with three shows daily. The crowd favorite Demolition Derby takes over the Grandstand Thursday and Friday evenings. Corrie J Mentalist returns and new-comers Magic Ben and Bachelor Chris Escape Artist are sure to captivate audiences at the North Gate Stage. The Painted Pony Rodeo returns to close out the Fair on Labor Day.
Musical entertainment features Grammy nominated, multi-platinum vocalist Sammy Kershaw as the Fair’s headliner. Mr. Kershaw helped shape the sound of 1990’s country music with such hits as “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful”, “Queen of My Doublewide Trailer”, “National Working Women’s Holiday, and his debut single, “Cadillac Style”. He will perform on Sunday, September 1, at 4pm on the Grandstand’s Main Stage.
Craft beverage makers will be represented again this year in Livingston Hall. Come see what the best local winemakers, brewers, and distillers have to offer. Tastings and retail sales will be available.
Of course, there’s everything that makes the Fair the place everyone wants to be each year – agricultural competitions and exhibits, racing pigs, the Talent Show and School Queen, Firefighter’s Parade, Tractors and Monster Trucks.
For those interested in part-time seasonal employment, positions are available as ticket sellers, ticket takers, bag checkers, and grounds (sanitation) crew members. Applications are available online under the Fairgrounds tab on our website.
The Fair will observe Sensory Day on Thursday, August 29. From noon to 4pm lights and music on the Midway will be turned off. The Sensory Safe Place sponsored by the Cooperative Extension will be available each day adjacent to Columbia Hall.
The 183nd Columbia County Fair is located off Route 66 in Chatham, New York. Opening day is Wednesday, August 28, at noon. The Fair – “always runs over Labor Day”, and concludes on Monday, September 2. General Admission is $15 and includes parking and all entertainment. Daily hours are Wednesday: noon to 11PM, Thursday – Monday: 10AM – 11PM. Seniors Day and Youth Day is Wednesday with special pricing at $5.00 for ALL patrons. Youth under 18 and active military with ID or in uniform are admitted free that day. Children 12 and under are always free.
Advance tickets are $13 per single day admission and are available online and at the Fair Administration Office until August 27. Advance tickets will also be available for purchase July 1- August 27 at all Bank of Greene County branch offices. There are no advance tickets for Wednesday, August 28.
Special Ride Passes are available at the ride ticket booths across from the cattle area near the North Gate Entrance for $25 per day.
